Clincosm is a new search engine that aspires to be “the universe of clinical trials”.

The Challenge

The industry standard has long been ClinicalTrials.gov and that currently still holds true. However, its interface is decades old and visually complex. How do we create an identity and user experience that promises to make searching the vast universe of clinical trials cosmically easier?

The Approach

Clincosm is somewhat of a pioneer in its mission to become an advanced alternative to the industry standard. To communicate that spirit, we leaned into the cosmic nature of the team’s aspirations and drew inspiration from NASA’s defunct “worm” logo and other fictional space exploration references.

 
 
 

Pitfalls Avoided

In the search for a design language to convey a sense of futuristic advancement, neomorphism was briefly considered but we ultimately decided against the short-lived trend.
